Originally founded in Reykjavik in 1982, our gallery was a cornerstone in the Icelandic art scene for over a decade. Rooted in a deep passion for art, we began as a family collection, carefully curated and personally framed by the founder. Over the years, we have expanded beyond Iceland, in the city of Copenhagen where we shared our expertise and love for fine art with a wider audience.
Our founder has had the privilege of working with the renowned COBRA movement and has showcased original works by Walesse Ting, among others. Through our exhibitions and collaborations, we have brought vibrant, expressive, and thought-provoking art to collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Return Window
• You have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return.
• To start a return, contact us at info@katelart.com with your order number and reason for return.
Eligibility for Returns
• Items must be:
• Unused and undamaged.
• Returned in the same condition as received and in the same pacakaging.
• Custom or commissioned pieces and gift cards are non-refundable.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
• If your artwork arrives damaged or incorrect, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of:
• The damaged item.
• The packaging (inside and outside).
• We will either replace the item (if possible) or issue a full refund, including shipping.
• If you do not report damage within 48 hours, we cannot guarantee a replacement or refund.
Return Shipping
• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged or incorrect.
• We recommend using a trackable shipping service and insurance, as we are not responsible for lost or damaged returns.
Refunds
• Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll send an email confirmation.
• Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
